Another take on the classic loggerhead (tippling iron, toddy iron, mulling iron or flip dog) this once ubiquitous piece of bar ware is used to heat drinks (often containing beer and rum such as the classic “pirate” cocktail rum flip). In addition to warming the bones on a dreary day the scalding iron caramelizes any sugars making your bevy of choice smack of roasted marshmallows and French roast coffee. (Coffee mug not included).
