The egg spoon is unique in that it is actually like a small frying pan. It is to be used over hot coals or a gas range to make an egg that is crunchy at the edges and bottom but runny and rich in the middle. This particular version is especially unique in that the bowl and handle are a continuous piece. This makes for a sleek design and has an added hygienic benefit: no rivets or cracks to trap food or germs. A must with handwrought cookware where excessive soap could damage the seasoning.
