Hudson Bay Hatchet, Made To Order
Hudson Bay Hatchet, Made To Order
from $316.75
The design of this sleek little hatchet goes back to the 17th century. You can see the resemblance to the French Biscay axe, as well as the later American trade axe (tomahawk). The narrow poll and wide flaring edge create a tool that can stand up to lots of camp chores without being too bulky to throw in a backpack, pack basket or the bottom of a canoe. This modern interpretation has a mild steel body with an inlaid 80CrV2 steel bit. It is hung on a choice hickory handle and can come with a custom made 8-9oz veg tan leather sheath.
