This stunning and fully functional presentation grade pipe tomahawk features a hand forged wrought iron head with inlaid file steel bit. The dovetailed and forge-brazed pipe bowl was made from a piece of antique wrought iron musket barrel. The whole head of the tomahawk is accented with delicate hand filed moldings on the blade, cheeks and pipe bowl. It has been hand polished and lightly etched/distressed to show off the damascene grain of the wrought iron (if you look carefully, you can even see the teeth of the file that the bit was made from!). The (drilled) handle is highly figured white oak. It has been accented with cast (lead free) pewter "wedding bands" and mouthpiece. It was finished with many coats of linseed oil. There is a hand turned moose antler plug at the top of the handle which can be removed for cleaning. If properly looked after this will be an heirloom that will last for generations.
